Allen Iverson Retired

Famous for causing commotions in the past, Allen Iverson retired from Memphis Grizzlies today. Reporter Stephen A. Smith announced the news of Allen Iverson’s retirement after only three games this year, on his Website today. However, his intentions reveal Allen is still available and ready for a comeback.

Since he’s hardly 34-year-old and extremely fit physically, the news of Allen Ezail Iverson’s retirement seems to be an attempt on his part to see the fans’ response and reaction. Today on November 25, 2009 famous reporter Stephen A. Smith announced on behalf of the 1996 NBA Draft’s number one pick Allen Iverson, that he’s going to retire.

The American professional basketball player Allen is recognized as a free agent these days and the news of his applying for leave of absence really surprised Memphis Grizzlies whom he joined very recently. This season, Allen played as many as three games only and loosing an NBA player with such an impressive record no doubt, is a great loss to both Grizzlies and the NBA itself.

An All Star 10 times NBA figure, averaging 27 points alongside 42 minutes each game and 6 assists as well reflect his small but memorable career. However, Allen has also got the reputation of causing some sort of disturbances in the past while he played for teams such as include Philadelphia, Denver and Detroit.

As per a statement of his own, Allen still loves his game a great deal and he’s pretty desirous to entertain his fans for some more time therefore, it is likely that he’s making a comeback sooner or later. “A whole lot is still left in my tank” is what Allen said, quotes Stephen A Smith. Further he stated that Allen thinks he can still compete at a highest level.

Shall the fans take it this way then that Allen used his retirement declaration to seek both the league and fans’ consent about it? What would the terms for Allen to make a comeback, his own? A vacant position through some injury or in other words, Allen might be required to show his willingness to play again; with a bit of compromise too, perhaps.
