Assburger’s Syndrome

Since the airing of ‘Parenthood’ on Tuesday, the term ‘Assburgers or burger’s Syndrome’ has turned out to be the hottest search trend on Google. TV drama Parenthood, on NBC the other night featured a couple with a son suffering with Asperger syndrome and many got confused.

An autism spectrum disorder termed as Asperger syndrome refers to a disease or complication due to which, the patients are encountered with numbers of problems such as trouble in social interaction, behavior and interests patterns of kind limited and repetitive nature etc. Wednesday morning’s Google Search Trends reflected that there were countless visitors looking for the right terms throughout the day.

The confusion aroused when people mixed Asperger Syndrome with Assburgers and Assburger’s Syndrome and the little spelling mistake created quite a stir over the Internet. The swirl of the two entirely different words in meanings prompted to various writings and by far, there should be a good understanding developed among the ignorant ones, hopefully.

Imagine Entertainment & Universal Media Studio’s presentation TV show Parenthood has got the services of Thomas Schlamme the famous Emmy Award winner director that writes the pilot of this particular series. The show in question airs every Tuesday night and its cast has big names such as peter Krause, Craig T. Nelson, Monica Potter, Mae Whitman and Maura Tierney etc.

The autism disorder caused by Asperger syndrome is, however, different from linguistic and cognitive development preservation. The person(s) suffering with all types of autism spectrum disorders are reportedly found with physical ineptness and they often use uncharacteristic languages to convey their messages.
