Bob Saget

Bob Saget, an American stand-up comedian was born May 17, 1956 in Philadelphia. Besides being a comedian, he is a television host, actor and film-maker. He is best known for his past role in the family-oriented show “Full House.” He was also the host of the NBC game show.

Benjamin, his father, was a supermarket executive while Rosalyn, his mother, was a hospital administrator. In 1989, Saget got a role of the host in “America’s Funniest Home Videos” which also became a smash hit. In 1995, “Full House” ended its run after a successful eight years period. On August 28, 2007, his HBO comedy special “That Ain’t Right” came out on DVD which was actually dedicated to his father who died on January 30, 2007.

Bob Saget also directed the ABC television movie “For Hope” in 1996, which was based on the life story of his sister Gay Saget who died three year earlier. He also wrote, acted and directed the “Farce of the Penguins” in 2006, which came out directly on DVD in January 2007. He voiced a character in the movie “Madagascar” in 2005.
