The reports claim that the coach that turned the Seminoles into a national power, Bobby Bowden has offered a conditional retirement; he will either retire on Tuesday or would return to stay on a relevantly moderate or restrained role.

Now if the university management agrees to and considers his options, Bobby Bowden would be enjoying a the role of a head coach with reduced responsibilities while Jimbo Fisher, the offensive coordinator and would-be head coach for Seminoles, would tackle the major decision making.

Tallahassee Democrat and ESPN reports claim that the retirement is final and the same is evident from an Associated Press report published on Monday that claims Bobby’s in the middle of kind filtration process; he’s sifting the available options. However, when asked to confirm the news, sources close to FSU’s next plan were found either reluctant to reveal any information or denied the reports completely.

Dexter Carter (former FSU running backs coach), Budd Thacker (a senior defensive tackle), Candi Fisher (Jimbo Fisher’s wife) and few other university officials were of the opinion that since Bobby’s contract lasts till 2010, he should be allowed to continue.
