Steve Phillips made a confession and admitted that being a sex addict; he had bodily relationship with Brooke Hundley, on Monday. 22-year-old Brooke Hundley was an assistant production with ESPN and like in Tiger Woods story; Hundley involved Marni Phillips and caused divorce between the couple.
According to 46-year-old Steve Phillips he realized his sexual addition problem during the month of August when his relationship with Hundley was at peak. Later Hundley approached his wife Marni Phillips and deliberately ruined her married life. The story reached the media and eventually; within two months Steve Phillips turned out to be the media fodder.
Steve was on ‘Today Show’ on NBC on Monday whereby while talking to the show host Matt Lauer, he admitted for the first time publicly that he did make some mistakes and that he’s fully responsible for whatever he did. The former general manager for New York Mets and an executive and baseball analyst Steve ended up fired from the Network following his illicit relation with Hundley.
He further explained on Monday that ‘like other people, I don’t take it as an excuse that I had sex addiction and I accept the whole responsibility of all my acts.” This was Steve’s first live interview since he attended ‘Gentle Path,’ a Mississippi treatment center’s (Behavioral Health & Addiction Services ‘Pine Grove’ clinic) sex addiction program where Tiger Woods also benefited from.
Though he didn’t mention how much time he spent (and how) at Hattiesburg, Miss., clinic but simply stated that it’s a best place to find answers for the ‘broken people.’ He informed the host that he was asked to quit the job on Oct. 25, 2009 following his decision to seek help regarding his sex addiction habit to call for the facilities on Oct 23. Meanwhile, Hundley was also asked by the ESPN to pack up.
The divorce followed next month by Marni and the 19-year long married life was put on stake while the couple had four lovely kids too.
