The quarterback of Texas Longhorns, Colt McCoy got severe injury during the first quarter of the final game against Alabama. Colt McCoy did not appear in the second quarter of this major match. Colt McCoy got his right shoulder injury which led him out of the field, he was knocked out. For nine yards, Colt McCoy was 2-2 but misfortune came and he went out to the dressing room.
Colt McCoy is such a player who puts great records and presents the play on its peak level. His team felt very unpleasant when they came to know that Colt McCoy will not be able to carry on the game. However some sources said that Colt McCoy’s injury was not so severe that he could not play the BCS title game. One of Texas Longhorns player, Jordan Shipley went to the locker room in order to raise his spirits.
However another player of Texas Longhorns Garrett Gilbert, who was replaced for Colt McCoy, came into the action and he played his level best in order to take Longhorns to the victory. In the first quarter of the game, Longhorns got a lead of 3-0 but Alabama took the maximum advantage of Colt McCoy’s injury and took a 14-6 lead in the second quarter of the game.
Colt McCoy is really an amazing young player who holds the superb records. He has 27 touchdowns in this year. In the voting of Heiman, he has been falling in the top three players list since last three years.
Describing his injury Colt McCoy said, “I am not feeling any pain in right shoulder, but I am looking like my arm is not with me.”
