Dan Quayle, the Former American vice president criticized the statement of President Barak Obama as the “Bald Statement” that he made in his address to the nation on 1st December 2009. Former US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld bang obama’s words, he said that during his session in Afghanistan war from 2001 to 2006, he didn’t have even a single request for asking support by US troops working in the Afghanistan.
Rumsfeld also said, “If there is such request online, then it must be released to the American people by the white house.”
Let’s have a look of American president’s statement at WestPoint Academy:
US President Obama stated, “He will send 30000 more troops to Afghanistan on the repeated demand of the army officials working in the Afghanistan. Obama also claimed that within the next 18 months, our army will start to leave the Afghanistan. He gave the approximate time frame of US forces withdrawal from Afghanistan that is 2011.”
Barack Obama detailed that both American and international forces will help us to complete this operation right in the way as we did it in the Iraq before. These forces will leave the Afghanistan viewing the status of the Afghanistan.
He also narrated that we will enable and advise the Afghan forces to be succeeded for long time. Now it is very clear to the afghan government especially afghan people to be responsible for their own country.
America has spent many years in this war but couldn’t get the effective and efficient results yet. Former US secretary HENRY KISSINGER explained that the situation in Iraq was entirely different from the Afghanistan conditions. Afghanistan is a country where many tribes are there, there was no good established government in this country.
Dan Quayle stated that people of Democratic Party think obama took too much time in the accomplishment of this operation. He also detailed that Obama stated, he is doing what is fundamental for our national security interests, so, he increased 30000 troops. Will it be the right decision or not? It’s tough to say.
