40-year-old welder Dennis Earl Bradford arrested for a crime he did 19 years back. Dennis Earl Bradford was involved in abduction, rape and murder attempt of 8-year-old Jennifer Schuett. The DNA profile has matched thus Jennifer now 27-year-old, may benefit to get justice.
It was way back in 1990 when on August 10; Dennis Earl Bradford managed to abduct the then 8-year-old Jennifer Schuett from her bedroom in an apartment at Dickinson (Texas), and drove the young girl to his place in some small and remote location. He not only raped the girl but later slashed her throat as well and left the girl in the pool of her own blood to die. The luck was on Jennifer’s side that night therefore the little girl struggled to survive for as many as 14 hours before was discovered and recognized by a classmate who used to cross the place with some other kids.
The incident left Jennifer with a permanent deprivation; Dennis Earl’s murder attempt didn’t take her life though but the deep wound damaged her voice box to an extent that she couldn’t speak for a long long time. Now the luck seems to be on her side again as after enjoying 19 long years of freedom, her 40-year-old rapist is not only behind the bars at North Little Rock Pulaski County (Arkansas), but his DNA profile has enough against him to be charged with a capital murder attempt.
The affidavit dated October 7, 2009 described all the above events in detail from her abduction to slaying attempt and then her discovery. Fortunately a sketch of her attacker made by an artist in 1990 enabled the police authorities to proceed further in the case as the picture of Dennis Earl on his license matched with the sketch. The Dickinson Police Department then sought FBI assistance say around 18 months back and stated the investigations anew.
Another thing went wrong for Dennis; Post DNA-match research revealed his 1987 traffic offences record that confirmed he lived hardly one quarter of a mile off 3206 Lobit Drive where he took possession of Jennifer from and his driving license photo matched with the 1990 sketch.
Here are pictures of criminal Dennis Earl Bradford, and the victim Jennifer Schuett can be found in the second picture.
