Loren Coleman famous Cryptozoologist named Dover Demon, a creature sited thrice in 1977. The residents of Dover, a Massachusetts town, reported the sighting of Dover Demon on April 21 and 22, respectively. Loren Coleman titled this cryptozoological creature as a Demon.
A number of cryptozoologists, the researchers of imaginary creatures, were really charmed with the introduction of a new member into the world of mysteries, in 1977. Within a span of two days from April 21st to 22nd that year, there were three different reports from the residents of Dover that suggested there was a never-seen-before creature in the town.
Though since then there has been no more word on the same, however, the subject has been one of their favorite for cryptozoologists. They have not given in their efforts to find more clues on the existence of any such thing in the real world. Loren Coleman is one among the same group and it was he who described this particular creature as a ‘Dover Demon.’ The media and the press acknowledged his expertise and accepted the title.
The alleged cryptozoological creature spread the waves of fear in the then small town thus almost immediately, a team of four reached there to investigate the matter. The team comprised of Loren, Joseph Nyman, Ed Fogg, and Walter Webb, all with a background of keen and experienced ufological researchers. Walter Webb was the director of Hayden Planetarium (Boston) Science Museum.
With an aim to determine the reality, they interviewed the families, law enforcement authorities, educational and community members of the town, starting with three teens claimed to have first sight.
Bill Bartlett was the first one to notice something such as a dog or big cat, crossed their way while the three were driving at night at Farm Street. According to Bill, having a closer look, it appeared something else than an ordinary dog or cat; it was rather an unexplainable creature kind out of this world. It had a head quite disproportionately large, watermelon like. The eyes were also orange and bulging. The body Bill described was hairless one with thin and relevantly week arms and legs it used to crawl with.
An hour later, a John Baxter, 15-year-old noticed the same creature on his way home. Then it was Abby Brabham another teenager (15) alongside Will Traintor (18) to have claims of sighting it. All the witnesses were asked to help draw the sketches of the creature and it revealed there was a lot of similarity in what they all saw on different occasions. The investigations are still ongoing by the researchers on the subject of interest.
