Another Republican, Chip Pickering has been notified having adulterous affair with his mistress, Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd. Chip Pickering is a former Mississippi Republican who has served 12 years in Congress and retired in January. While the estranged wife of Chip Pickering, Leisha Pickering is suing her husband’s alleged mistress, Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd.

Reports say, Leisha Pickering has filed a lawsuit against Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd with the claim that she has ruined their marriage as well as her husband’s political career. They both, Chip Pickering and Leisha Pickering had already filed for divorce after the alleged affair of Chip Pickering with Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd became obvious.

The case of this extramarital relationship of former Rep. Chip Pickering is exactly similar to that of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford. In both cases, the marital life of Republicans has been ruined.

Actually, after the separation of Leisha Pickering from her husband in 2008, Chip Pickering started the procedure of divorce against her. And, Chip Pickering also stated that, “He is not interested in a public fight with his wife over his affair with Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd.”

According to ‘The Associated Press’, Chip Pickering issued another statement saying, “I believe if we could resolve our differences privately before heading toward appropriate court or any media coverage, it would be in best interest of our five boys.”

At present, Chip Pickering has been notified as a lobbyist for Cellular South, which is a telecom company in the ownership of Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd’s family.
