Erin Andrews Peephole Video

The stalker that filmed a peephole video of Erin Andrews, the sideline ESPN reporter, pays for his crime on Monday. 49-year-old Michael David Barrett convicted of alleged filming of secret video through peephole and ended up in prison for 30 months. 31-year-old Erin Andrews said Barrett deserves more than 30 months.

On Monday March 15, 2010 Michael David Barrett that has been identified as a person of 49 years of age from Chicago-area (Westmont, Illinois) was handed down his sentencing orders for two and a half years alongside restitution worth $7,366 to be paid to his ‘victim.’ His ‘victim’ is the sporting events’ sideline reporter from the ESPN Network 31-year-old Erin Andrews and his ‘crime’ is a secret peephole video.

According to the details, Judge Manuel L. Real of a U.S. District ordered the sentencing of 2 1/2 years for Michael David Barrett following his confession of the crime he committed in 2008 when he stalked and successfully filmed Erin Andrews’ naked shots during 18 months of stalking. David admitted that he followed the American newscaster around the country and on three various occasions, he peeped through the hotel room doors and took several nude snaps and a video, using his cell phone.

The cameraman was also ordered to pay restitution to the spicy ESPN sportscaster that expressed before the judge that she’s traumatized by David’s unethical act and fears the anxiety and humiliation. David apologized to Erin and even cried. David is also accused of attempting to sell the naked images and the video in question that he allegedly plastered online. Though the victim’s lawyers were able to get the remnants of the tape from cyberspace, some Web sites have already played a kind of blurred version.

However, 2.5 year’s imprisonment is what David received on Monday but the word is also in the air that he’s been involved in similar acts on some other celebrities too. If the rumors are true and there are more Michael David victims, those instances might take him further into legal troubles. To some extent the peeping tom has been vindicated on Monday when pleaded guilty but not before causing mental torture, frustration and embarrassment to the sportscaster.
