Heroes Volume 6

Though Volume 6 of American science fiction series Heroes was marked at the ending of Volume 5, yet it is not confirmed whether there would be a Volume 6 or not. It’s interesting to know that two Japanese heroes of NBC superhero series are learning Japanese language. Their names are Hiro Nakamura and Ando Masahashi.

Science fiction series in question is a Tim Kring creation and the same was premiered on September 25 in the year 2006 on the NBC for the first time. The characters of James Kyson Lee and Masi Oka played by Ando Masahashi and Hiro Nakamura, respectively leave no doubt on the minds of the viewers that they are the Japanese actors.

But many of the viewers may not realize that Oka was born in Japan but when he was only 6 years of age, his family moved from Tokyo where he was born and shifted to Los Angeles. On the other hand, Lee who looks a Japanese from his features, is actually Seoul, South Korea born and he too left Korea while 10 years of age. Ever since, he lives in New York City.

Oka didn’t, however, completely abandoned his mother language and still speaks the same quite fluently but when it comes to Lee, it’s a little more knotty and complex for the poor guy to speak one of the world’s most difficult languages known as Japanese. Korean is no big deal for him alongside a good grip on the English language.

According to Lee, he visited Hawaii this year for the first time in his life and that too with the shooting crew of ‘Lost’ wherein he has some Korean fellows to exchange his views fluently. Daniel Dae Kim and Yunjin Kim both are Korean and Lee is goods friends with both the co-stars on ‘Lost’ cast. Lee confesses that he can speak Korean thus finds it easy to convey when the two are around.
