Hue Jackson has reportedly been hired as NFL Oakland Raiders’ new Offensive Coordinator. Prior to this, 44-year-old Hue Jackson was QB coach with the Baltimore Ravens from 2008 to 2009. His new accord is for a period of three-years initially with the college.
To take his place at the Baltimore Ravens not in the same capacity though, Dean Pees the Patriots’ former defensive coordinator has joined the team and he will be looking after the matters as their linebackers coach.
Since there always was room for a coordinator offensive at the Raiders camp since last one year, it is anticipated that the move may prove to be a smart one to boost up the sluggish progress of the team being one of the most dysfunctional franchises lately. In addition to his role as their head coach for Raiders, Thomas Lee “Tom” Cable, Jr. already has been entrusted multiple responsibilities such as line overseer offensive and play-caller etc.
Earlier this month, Allen “Al” Davis Oakland Raiders’ principal owner who’s currently 80 yeas of age was in constant touch with Jackson and though he has been taken, it hasn’t been learned yet whether what would be Tom Cable’s role after Jackson’s induction.
There are also reports that 24-year-old 6-foot-6 giant quarterback JaMarcus Russell the 2007 NFL Draft overall pick No. 1 would be having fun time under the supervision of Hue Jackson since he didn’t have much of play last season.
Hue Jackson is not new in the business of coaching since he was Washington Redskins’ coach twice between 2001 and 2003 as their running-back coach and offensive coordinator. Later he also stayed with Cincinnati Bengals from 2004 to 2006 before joining the Atlanta Falcons for just one year.
