The eruption began underneath the Eyjafjallajökull glacier and caused the melting of tons of ice that’s now going down the rivers to cause heavy floods.
Hundreds of people have been evacuated and shifted to the safer points from all the nearby areas where the life and living both are in danger. A storm of emitting fumes, hot ash, smoke and steam had covered the whole area. This has also caused airborne hazard among the rural Iceland.
Following the present uncertain circumstance in the country, hundreds of thousands of flights got delayed and cancelled. Many cross Atlantic flights had to be cancelled because of the ash cloud that has made the visibility extremely poor. Poland Government feared that the recent airborne hazard could create problems in the arrival of World Leaders to participate the funeral and burial events of President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria. The funeral will be held on Sunday in the Krakow.
According to the Air Traffic control Services of the United Kingdom, no flights in the air space of United Kingdom are allowed. Similarly the Safety Group Euro control informed this problem might remain there for more than forty eight hours. Around 600,000 people would be affected from these flight delays.
