Dream couldn’t come true for Jamie Lee at Victoria’s Secret Show. 23-year-old Carmel native Jamie Lee Darley was the only opponent to the winner Kylie Bisutti at Tuesday night’s Victoria’s Secret Holiday Fashion Show. She fell short by few votes and ended up second runner-up.

A runway supermodel that comes from Carmel was also there on the night that belonged to 19-year-old Kylie Bisutti on Tuesday and millions watched the courageous girl on CBS’s national broadcast. Since the winner had to be decided through an online pole, the results revealed that the voters favored the teen a bit more and eventually; Jamie Lee lost the contest with a margin not too big.

It was her dream for Jamie Lee Darley to win the crown but then again, there’s always only one winner. The quest of Victoria’s Secret Angel was almost over with only two contestants left to choose the finalist from. The nationwide online voting had several rounds and Jaime Lee had managed to come up through two rounds before she was named amongst the finalists.

All the girls competing for the title were accommodated in an apartment at the New York City and the girls spent most of their time during the month of November there. The girls underwent various modeling challenges until the final moments and everything they did was taped and aired for the voters to see how their favorites proceeded.

Robert Darley the father of the sweet girl that lost by a close margin stated that whatever the stats suggest, it was his daughter that won; not the contest though but her dreams, almost! However, from now on, Kylie Bisutti is the new Secret Angel 2009.
