In 1986, Jeffrey Dampier won 20 Million USD through “Illinois lottery.” He was among those people who were very openhanded to their money. He belonged to a poor family but when he won lotto jackpot, he became generous rather than being greedy. He gave cars and houses in gift to his friends and other family members.

There are many people who won money through lottery and lost all of their winnings and ending up with less money than they had before winning. Some of them lost their lives too; Jeffery was one among these losers. Although, he won money but he lost his life as well.

Though, Jeffery proved very generous for his friends and family, but someone there was greedy in his family. This was his sister in law, named Victoria Jackson.

Victoria was greedy enough that she murdered Jeffery for getting money. Nathaniel Jackson, boyfriend of Victoria helped her in abducting Jeffery. They demanded money, bounded Jaffrey’s hand in back and pushed up into a van where he was shot in head and died.

Victoria and Nathaniel were arrested on account of killing Jeffrey as dead body was found from van three days after; in prison both were sentenced for life.

Dampier was aged 39, had three children. He had been living in Florida since he won 20 Million USD jackpot. He owned a business with name Kassie’s Popcorn, derived from his daughter’s name.

The incident shows that sometimes lottery winning is just a curse more than every thing else.
