American football defensive tackle, 26-year-old Jesse Mahelona has been killed in a car accident. Mahelona’s agent, Chad Speck confirmed that Mahelona died on Friday night in a car crash occurred about one mile away from his home in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
On Saturday, Speck told, “I have no more information how the accident occurred?” However, Speck added, “Mahelona was the one who always smiled perhaps he had a smiling face. He was a loving guy and always funny. I will miss him in the rest of my life, it is really a big loss.”
NFL star, Jesse Mahelona was drafted by Tennessee Titans in 2006 in the fifth round draft. He served as a rookie playing 10 games after being drafted by Titans in 2006.
Jesse Mahelona also played for Miami Dolphins, then, he played his last NFL game in the year 2007 with Atlanta Falcons. He was also signed for Jacksonville Jaguars in the year 2008.
While playing at University of Tennessee, Jesse Mahelona had 77 tackles and 7 sacks in the two seasons.
American football linebacker who also played for Tennessee Titans, Stephen Tulloch was drafted replacing Jesse Mahelona, while Mahelona mourned the death of his former teammate. Mahelona said on his twitter account, “I have lost a great friend, You will be missed in my whole life my brother.”
Jesse Mahelona was married with Brandi and had a child with her. Brandi is pregnant for the second time. Speck told, “A fund was being planned to support the family of Mahelona.”
