45-year-old Yankee’s manager Joseph Elliot Girardi braces 24-year-old Ramiro Peña Gauna for his performance and role in New York Yankees’ victory in the World Series in game 5. The infielder Ramiro Peña Gauna was in for Melky Cabrera who suffered a strained hamstring.
Praising him for his performance, Illinois native Joseph Elliot Girardi remarked about the youngster Ramiro Pena that as a pinch-hitter, he provided him with more options. New York Yankees suffered a loss during their game 4 in terms of Melky Cabrera while he received a serious injury and ended up with a strained hamstring. He was running in the sixth inning during the game Yankees won on Sunday night.
The Yankees’ manager Girardi took his chances and decided to replace Cabrera with inclusion of a relevantly young player in the Yankees’ World Series final list of players. As per the rules of the major league, a particular injured position player has to be replaced with the same position player thus; Pena was the best choice available with Joe.
Joe Girardy also stated that during the game at National League Park, Pena impressed him more than Freddy Guzman and that he’s really appeared as a much matured player this year.

He mentioned that he joined the team with a particular motto that he must lead the Yankees to win their 27 the championship title therefore; he chose No. 27 to always remind him.
