Dr. Griffin, tell me why people go for plastic surgery? 46-year-old ‘Morning Joe’ host Charles Joseph “Joe” Scarborough talks about the newest trend of Plastic Surgery online. Accompanying him are Dr. Griffin and Robi Luddwig in an MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough live debate.
Plastic surgery is changing the lives of hundred of thousands of people all over the globe every day. One would say that this is the most modern trend as if successful, you are also successful to have achieved your goal; the goal of leaving the age behind, may be. It’s a simple life theory that as your features drop, your career drops too.
Joe Scarborough who’s an American cable news and talk radio host and currently hosting ‘Morning Joe’ on MSNBC, himself is an April 9, 1963 born and in other words, into his late 40’s already. He’s joined by Dr. Anthony Griffin, a plastic surgeon (Beverly Hills) and also a star of “Extreme Makeover” and Dr. Robi Ludwig who’s a psychotherapist, to discuss the trend and the need of plastic surgery at ‘Scarborough Country.’
The opening question to Dr. Griffin by Joe is, “tell me, why in our culture people decide to go for plastic surgery in order to get ahead?”
Well, the readers must well understand that the whole and full content of the debate is not required to be reproduced here as the video of the show is always there so what’s important for everyone to know is what did Dr. Griffin reply?
This is what Dr. Griffin meant to say: “This is a world of competition around us, and we’re living in a youth-oriented visual world. Everybody grabs whatever little edge is available, that’s why people are turning towards plastic surgery.” “And it’s very very common these days,” he further added.
To strengthen Dr. Griffin’s opinion over the issue, American Society’s statistics can be quoted that read that among the fastest-growing groups of plastic surgery; male clients have the larger share.
Dr. Robi replied to Joe’s query as to why more and more people tend to go for plastic surgery; “I think now its lot safer and advanced than past. People have more trust in the technology.” Further she described, “The Hollywood effect cannot be overruled either. The billboards expressing miracles of cosmetic surgery on ‘dream’ people also expands the horizons of general public.”
The whole thing then revolves around the basic idea of ‘a desire to look more beautiful’ to my mind, readers. Watch the video to have an in depth analysis please.
