Barack Obama was heckled by Joe Wilson who shouted “You Lie.” The House was stunned by Joe Wilson’s abrupt and sudden remarks ‘You Lie’ during Obama’s speech on health care on Wednesday night the September 9.

A “committed to promoting peace” personality, South Carolina rep 62-year-old Joe Wilson put the Republicans on shame when he interrupted the President Barack Obama while he was making an important speech on Health Care. The whole incident was so quick and abrupt that it left Obama taken aback, gazing the heckler in his corner.

‘Never seen anything like that before’ stated Earl Pomeroy, another rep. He added further: “President of United States is not invited to the House of Representatives to be insulted.” Many other Republican Reps reprimanded Wilson in one way or another as the incident has been taken very seriously by the House too.

During his speech when Obama reached at a point whereby he denied the proposed health care legislation to provide ‘free health coverage’ for illegal immigrants, Wilson who has served five terms so far and represents the state’s 2nd congressional district including the state capital Columbia (up to Beaufort and Hilton Head Island), shouted at the President “You Lie.”

As an immediate reaction Carol Fowler, South Carolina Democratic Party Chair considers it the disgrace of the home state. ‘South Carolina Republican has embarrassed the state’ she added. In her opinion Wilson being an ex-military member, should have been more patriot and he must realize that he in fact, has not only insulted the President of America rather the American public too. Therefore, Fowler says Wilson owes an apology both the President and the People of America.

And in the end Wilson, who faced another apology issue in 2004, had to submit his apology. He said although he disagrees with the President’s views yet he adopted improper way and used inappropriate / regrettable worlds. Further he continued: “I extend sincere apologies for my lack of civility.”
