14-year-old Laura Dekker is reportedly missing since Friday night from her home. With a desire to sail around the world all alone, the Dutch teen Laura Dekker was being taken care of by the state supervision for the last two months. She wished to be recognized as the youngest solo voyager.

It is feared that Laura Dekker may accomplish her mission at any cost and may be that is the reason she’s left both her father’s home and the boat she just loves to be at ‘Guppy,’ since Friday. According to the family of the missing teen, since the Utrecht District Court had learnt her plans and put her under child care supervision, Laura had gone negative in behavior.

The UDC forbade and restricted her from her dream voyage plans for the summer in the month of October this year. The family has concerns over her safety since her secret departure and it’s feared whether she’s going to implement her ‘project’ or something unpleasant occurred to the girl.

The Utrecht police believe that since sailor boat, Guppy, remains there the girl might not have gone to sea and that so far in their eyes, it’s not a crime. However, they’re not sure about it either. Dick Dekker her father, informed the Dutch press that Laura dropped a letter for him and that her bank account reveals a £3,100 cash withdrawal too. Since she’s got dual citizenship i.e. Dutch and New Zealand therefore; the possibility of her leaving the country cannot be overruled either.

As safety precaution, the European ports and airports have been notified about the missing girl and according to a spokesman for the Utrecht police department, everyone around is alert and knows how to deal should they see the girl in question. The teen seems to be inspired by 17-year-oold Mike Perham and wished to emulate her voyage since he became the world record holder as the youngest-ever solo-sailor around the world.
