Marcus Devon Vick, the younger brother of a troubled Philadelphia Eagles’ former NFL player Michael Dwayne Vick, speaks out a BET documentary ‘The Michael Vick Project.’ The two brothers would be seen in this particular ten part documentary which is all about the rise and fall of a football player that once had a bright future.
BET aired the maiden episode first out of ten the other day, and the project has begun. In the debut episode the narrator explained how Michael Vick has still got a chance to rise again since he’s seen the light from the darkness. ‘He must rise again,’ stated the narrator and we all hope that yes; one day he will.
Main focus of this project remains to highlight the factors behind the rise and fall of such a promising young man that had all the time in the world to get recognized. He did get recognized though but not with reference to his skills as a football player; he got fame for being away from the game for months.
Marcus Deon Vick explains in the documentary how his elder brother loved the game of dog-fighting when he was merely a kid of 7 years of age. He further explained how Michael purchased a property comprising of 15 acres of land worth $34,000 and used the place for keeping dogs and arranging dog fights out there while plenty of his friends accompanied.
Marcus says though there wasn’t anything wrong with his childhood ‘hobby,’ yet he did hide the same from his teammates. Every Tuesday Michael flew all the way from Atlanta to Surry County to see the ‘business’ and spent all his spare time there. He never told about the same to his colleagues. In the remaining parts of ‘The Michael Vick Project,’ all the details would be covered in tell-all televised document.
Here’s brief description whether what took him behind the bars in 2007. According to the details, Vick was finally exposed involved in illegal dog fighting activities and was sent to jail for 23 months when found guilty. His career thus ruined and he was financially broken too.
