Denver, Colorado – 24-year-old Maurice Schwenkler has been arrested who is accused of his involvement in a vandalism incident at Denver’s Democratic Party Headquarters. The Colorado resident, Maurice Schwenkler had already worked for Colorado Citizens’ Coalition.
According to the Police, a patrol officer saw two men who were smashing windows using hammer early Tuesday morning around 2:20 a.m. After they noticed the patrol officer, they left the place and ran on their bicycles.
The patrol officer followed them and apparently caught one as the other suspect changed his direction. Maurice Schwenkler was arrested red-handed by the officer a few block away.
Police described that Schwenkler who was wearing a blue jeans and a blue hooded sweatshirt, had covered his whole face. Schwenkler was also wearing latex gloves when he was arrested. While, the other suspect who succeeded in skipping is still unknown.
According to the Democratic state party chair, Pat Waak,
“No doubt, they smashed in windows at every place where we had hung a poster, they are actually supporting health care reform and are apparently opposing President Barack Obama.”
