The IMF was led by Jim Phelps and Dan Briggs played by Peter Graves and Steven Hill, respectively.
The above series featured Peter Graves twice, first in the period 1967 to 1973 and later from 1988 to 1990. During the year 1973, the same was cancelled and Peter reprised the same role on its revival on the television several years later. The death of ‘Airplane!’ movie star occurred in Los Angeles when the family had reportedly taken a Sunday brunch. The news arrived through Fred Barman that used to be his business manager for the actor.
Peter Graves was not the only star in the family, his older brother Jim Arness also was a renowned actor and one of his particular movies earned him lot of fame i.e. ‘Gunsmoke.’ Following the footsteps of his older brother, Peter Graves gained widespread fame among the audience when played pedophile pilot in the movie ‘Airplane!’ and took command of his so called doomed jet.
