Tyra says my son Jarvis; singer Monica’s boyfriend didn’t kill himself. In 2000 Jarvis ‘Knot’ Weems killed himself while with Monica Denise Arnold at the gravesite of his brother Troy Weems. However, Tyra Weems believes Jarvis couldn’t suicide rather Monica killed him mistakenly.

29-year-old R&B singer Monica Denise Arnold made headlines in the year 2000 when she encountered a shock of lifetime. On July 18, 2000 her long-term boyfriend and a childhood ally 24-year-old Jarvis ‘Knot’ Weems had called her to join him at a cemetery whereby he had parked his car near the gravesite of his diseased brother.

Upon her reaching there, Jarvis who didn’t unlock the car to let her in told Monica that he wished to live his brother and before she understands the ‘in-depth’ meaning of his statement, Jarvis pulled out his gun and shot dead himself. Hysteric, Monica couldn’t believe her eyes but it was all over and Jarvis had already joined his brother Troy who also died in a tragic car accident at the age of 25 years, in 1998.

The police had long investigations and had eyewitnesses other than Monica were interrogated who confirmed the authenticity of Monica’s claims of her boyfriend’s committing suicide therefore, no arrests were made. Monica however, was constantly questioned by the family afterwards.

The Weems family couldn’t rule out the element of doubt in the whole issue and Tyra Weems the mother of the victim, still strongly believes his son would never commit suicide and that it was Monica who did the most appropriate thing; Put it all on Jarvis. Later angrily, she had stated that the cops shouldn’t have taken it as Monica told them.

It took almost three years for Monica to fully recover from the shock and return to normal life. She has, however, got no answer to the non-stop queries of the Jarvis Weems’ family who still insist there’s some more she knows other than suicide.
