Moorpark fire update is not very encouraging! Now Santa Barbara power supply lines (220-KV) are also threatened by the Moorpark fire. According to the Moorpark fire update, Ventura County wildfire may harm five of high voltage lines as well 1,000 homes at Moorpark and Somis.
The latest news and map services are constantly updating the fire route and at moment the fire is still raging in the Ventura County at the most. The Moorpark college area is still a bit safe place and it has not been included in the evacuation-plan as yet. However the College, two elementary schools, Campus Canyon and Walnut Canyon have been closed.

The current evacuation areas most affected for the Guiberson Fire Incident. The current evacuation areas (Guiberson Fire Incident) includes: South of South Mountain Road (from Balcom Cyn Road to the 12th St. Bridge) Moorpark College Area. The areas of Northwest portions of incorporated Moorpark, Meridian Hills, and Championship Dr. (West of Balcom Canyon Road) at Bradley Road, are also highlighted in the broadcast. Donlon Road, Solano Verde Road and Coyote Canyon Road areas are also included in the range.
As per the situation demand, there has been an evacuation center established at Goebel Senior Center (1385 E. Janss Road) Thousand Oaks. It’s feared that the fire has expanded and spread to more than 16,000 acres by last reports received. The fire was ignited on Tuesday near Fillmore but despite horribly express intensification, it was declared on Wednesday afternoon by the concerned fire officials that the blaze 40 percent contained.
Firefighters deployed to the fire-struck areas (more than 1800) along with the help of number of helicopters and air tankers, are trying their hearts out to control the eastern and western flanks of fire. As per the latest news apart from two outbuildings, no homes or other buildings have been reported damaged or engulfed by the fire.
