Newark Liberty International airport of New Jersey locked down when a man entered the “Sterile Area” without being checked through the screening check. This breach led the Newark airport’s continental terminal lockdown on Sunday nearly at 5:34 pm. All the passengers were rechecked which created a terrified condition at the airport. As the different terrorism organizations have threatened the world particularly to European countries, this situation was really strange and horrifying for the passengers.
Sari Koshetz, who is the representative of Transportation Security Administration, told the media that it happened when a man was found walking in a security area called “Sterile Area.” She added that the man escaped the screen checking procedure. She also said as we noted that a man has entered from the exist lane and he did not get the screening check, we shut off all the operations at the moment. We all must remember this incident happened on the same date when the TSA authorities came to enhance the security check for United States bound flights after a failed attack on a plane of North-west Airlines which flew for Detroit. This attack was attempted by the Al-Qaeda terrorist Umer Farooq Abdul Mutalab.
Another spokesman of Transportation Security Administration ‘Ann Davis’ reported that we are not confident that the man who is in the news got the screening check or not. The most amazing thing, the agencies could not find out the identity of the man who breached the screening check. Airport authorities closed down all the flights and all the passengers had to endure screening check once again.
Passengers blamed the airport authorities for delaying the flight. There was no public information announced till 9.46 pm. Passengers belonging to the countries who have been declared “Terrorism Sponsors” are restricted to have strict screening checks like pat downs and body scans.
America has declared Yemen, Somalia, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan, Algeria, and Iraq are “Terrorism Sponsors.”
