The producer for CBS’s 48 Hours, 51 years old Robert Halderman also known as Joe Halderman is the person who has been arrested for David Letterman extortion case. Reportedly, Robert Halderman is responsible for exposing David Letterman’s alleged affairs with his staff women.

On Thursday night, David Letterman revealed in front of the studio audience during his show that someone blackmailed him for $2 million on threatening to expose his scandalous relationships with the staff women.

Sources tell that David Letterman met with Robert Halderman a couple of times as a part of police investigation that leaded to the arrest of Robert Halderman. It has also been reported that the person involved in David Letterman extortion case lived with the same woman David Letterman had sexual relationships.

According to the police, Robert Halderman was in need of money and made decision to target David Letterman. As the affair described was a long time ago even before the birth of his son Harry, but he was in fact living with his wife-to-be Regina Lasko.

David Letterman admitted his sexual relationships with his staff members saying, “Yes, I have. Would it be embarrassing to announce the affairs publicly? Perhaps it would effect! I just wanted to protect the people around me especially my family.”

Robert Halderman has not only been arrested, but also been suspended for being the producer of ’48 Hours’ until the final results of investigation be gained.
