Roger Daughtry

Amidst few of the greatest performers of their times, there came a brief moment in the Super Bowl gala which shone its lime light on Roger Daughtry and ‘The Who.’ It must have been one heck of a performance because they managed to sing five of their favorites in a staggering twelve minute time slot.

Roger Daughtry, for those of you who may not know, was the foundation upon which the British band, “The Who”, laid their fame on. The singles that he played out to the massive audience were, ‘Won’t get me fooled again’, ‘See me Feel me’, ’Who are you?’ ‘Baba O’ Riley’ and ‘Pinball Wizard.’ It has been a while since the band played live but for those who have been in wait it has been a worthy while.

What made the gig a spectacular event was the arrangement and details of the lighting that had been done. While lasers patterned the seemingly bottomless darkness of the floor, other lights illuminated the smoke already hovering around them. Fire works introduced Roger Daughtrys’ famous line “sure plays a mean pinball” and the crowd just loved it.

All in all seventy-two thousand fans came to the Sun Life stadium to attend the yearly Super Bowl event. Though the entire duration of the songs could not be sung the medley was more than what anyone could have bargained for.

Roger Daughtry, originally named Roger Harris Daltrey has come on many television shows though not quite as many movies and holds the talents of singing, acting and songwriting.
