An 1890 tradition Rose Bowl Parade is all set with motorized floats to attract millions of viewers on its routes as well as watching from home. This year’s Tournament of Roses Parade is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. offering a day full of festivities at Pasadena California.
Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks are the two college football teams for this year’s Rose Bowl, an event added to the Tournament of Roses Parade in the year 1902 with a view and purpose of collecting funds to cover the staging cost of the famous parade. It was in the year 1890 when Pasadena, California hosted the annual parade for the first time ever and since then, the same is held on annual basis and the Rose Bowl is regularly played and broadcast since 1916, on more than 200 television networks; including the United States and multiple international networks worldwide.
The live stream will be available online for Rose Bowl Parade on January 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with an anticipated crowd of hundreds of thousands awaiting and marking their day enthusiastically by booking best places on its pre-described routes all over Pasadena. All major networks such as RFD TV, Univision, ABC, HGTV and NBC etc are all set to provide the live coverage of this particular event.
The United States’ New Year Celebrations are not complete without the Rose Bowl Parade and this year’s specialty would be the colorful floats, decorated with flowers, seaweeds, vegetables, plants, nuts, bark etc being the basic condition for the floats to participate in the Rose Bowl Parade. However, artificial coloring or any artificial materials are not allowed. Then there would be the marching bands to excite the viewers. The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association a non-profit organization, also supports music and equestrians’ participation on the occasion.
