Sea Shepherd Conservation Society reported that on Wednesday, a Japanese boat Shonan Maru No.2 smashed the Sea Shepherd vessel catamaran “Ady Gil” and caused ruinous damage to it. All the six members of the squad were not injured in this incident.
Six crew officials which were on the boat were rescued by another vessel of The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society “The Bob Barker.” Out of the six crew members, five belong to the New Zealand and one belongs to the Netherlands. According to the captain of “The Bob Barker,” Japanese vessel hit the “Ady Gil” intentionally.
Japanese have been working for the harvesting of whales in Australian Antarctic water Territory, the conflict has went sky high after the collision of two vessels. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society wants to stop the Japanese to work in the Australian waters, yet the Japanese have been on their whale harvesting in Australian water territory.
One of the Japanese Cetacean Research officials said that “Ady Gil” did the violence and committed an attack on Shonan Maru No.2 and tried to ensnare the propeller and chunked stink bombs at our boat Shonan Maru No.2. A statement released by the ICR revealed the fact, this was the fourth time when Sea Shepherd Conservation Society made an attack on the Japanese whaling navy in this season.
Reports provide the evidence that Japan stop the whaling in 1980, but it was allowed to do commercial whaling for “Lethal Research.” Captain Paul Watson of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society said that Japanese are violating the laws but we are not intended to retreat even we have got a whale war in our palm.
