Snow In All 50 States

More news on snow and snowy weather suggest all 50 states of the country would remain buried under snow over the weekend. The updates provided by the NWS reveal that Florida is the only state left where the snow isn’t evident otherwise; grounds are full of snow in all other states.

An interesting update with regards to snow covering larger part of the country has come through a media report according to which, Patrick Marsh an NOAA employee and a student is looking for pictures of snow covered grounds. Serving with the National Severe Storm Laboratory Norman, Patrick is known to be looking for pictures of the ground where there’s no snow yet.

And in fact, it was Marsh that informed the media that according to his knowledge, Florida has some uncovered ground area left where there’s snow hasn’t touched down. However, snow warnings for Friday also included Florida or nearby areas so Patrick’s unique collection of snowy ground photographs may have an addition today!

According to the weather services the winter storm was likely to take the route south and there was likelihood of snow all over the county; may be for the first time. As far as Dallas is concerned, there was a record single-day pour down of as much as 12.5 inches. Meanwhile, the news from Florida indicated that West Florida University has announced for the forced closure; means snow has reached there too.

If there are hints of snow on the Hawaii Mountains, the same is still awaited in Vancouver where 2010 Winter Games are commencing from today though; there was some rain recorded overnight. If Marsh collect his last picture too (which he sure got by now), he plans to present a ‘Snow Snapshot of America’ to be put in the Google map!
