Cytoplasm

It is the region of the cell between the plasmalemma and the nucleus. It includes:

• Membrane systems (endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi complex)
• Cytoplasmic particles (particulate organelles…..plastids, mitochondria, lysosomes, ribosomes, glyoxysomes and peroxisomes)
• Soluble components
• Insoluble ergastic substances.
