On the most recent addition to the reality show “The Bachelor, Paris”, thirty-three year old Allie Garcia was removed for having stated disturbing information about the expectant period for her fertility. Though she claims that the information was a glitch in the editing process of the show, it made little difference to the hosts of the show.
The bachelor Allie, in real life, is an oncologist who deals with eradicating cancerous tumors in patients through the process of radiation. Allie did not approve of the way she had been represented by the producers of The Bachelor.
The Bachelor Allie also says that she is going to be turning thirty-four years old in a months time and that her statement was a little touch of realism. She says that according to her studies the fertility of women decreases more sharply every year after the age of twenty-seven. The bachelor Allie is of the view that in another decades time, there will be a real sense of urgency in matters of reproduction.
The executive producer for the show, Lisa Levenson, however, is of the view that the producers can not be held responsible for the remarks that Allie has made. The bachelor Allie remarked that her comment had been influenced by the factor of not receiving proper nutrition.
Initial reactions by The Bachelor Allie leaned on the blame game where she pointed the finger at the editing staff but as is custom to such reality shows it is well known by now that the editors should not be held responsible for inaccurate representation, at the end of the day the contestants are aware of the fact that their comments will be aired.
