Just after one season, television series ‘The Forgotten’ has been announced cancelled by ABC. According to the latest news, the freshman season of a series that premiered on 22 September, 2009 known as The Forgotten, is over while three episodes remain unaired.
When in the month of November last year on 9th day the ABC Network reportedly ordered as many as five additional occurrences of the series in question, it was anticipated that the show was gaining popularity and the same was pretty much evident from the ratings that followed. However, since its inception on September 22, 2009 the series that attracted millions of the viewers and gained the ratings of 2.6, started declining lately.
The numbers of the viewers drastically reduced from 9.54 million to 6.49 million thus influencing the ratings to a greater extent and same came down to a mere 1.7 while in the second installment of The Forgotten. The significant drop in both the ratings and the viewers prompted the producers to announce its cancellation and it had been already made very clear that episode airing on March 9, 2010 would be considered as season finale.
This way, the series that comprises on overall 18 episodes was shortened wrapped up in 15 instead thus; leaving the rest of the three episodes unaired. According to the latest announcement by the ABC, a recap show Flash-Forward episode due to be aired on March 16, 2010 alongside another one scheduled for March 23, is being blocked.
The Forgotten followed the efforts of a small group of talented civilians that carried out their search efforts to find out missing ones from where the police left them. Heather Stephens, Slater, Bob Stephan, Anthony Carrigan, Rochelle Aytes, Michelle Borth, Lily Rains and Judith Hoag were the main character of the show.
