Very recently a Yale University student Annie Le’s murder shocked the community which was followed by brutal killing of a 16-year-old student in and its followed by yet another horrible incident that involves the American college students and raises many such questions whether what’s wrong with our youth, why they are loosing temper or why they’re going so violent with each passing day?
According to the police authorities, they received a call at 12:21 p.m. and learnt they are needed at UCLA Young Hall campus, where a male science student (whose name has not been publicized as yet) has slashed the throat of a female student after some verbal altercation. Thus, the police approached the campus and arrested the suspect right on the spot. The victim (also unknown by far) has been shifted to UCLA-Reagan Medical Center, needing an urgent surgery due to her severe critical condition. There’s no update on her present condition either.
According to Nancy Greenstein the police spokeswoman, the Young Hall campus’ Chemistry department located on the top (6th) floor, has been sealed and the students are advised to stay away from the premises. The alleged stabbing has left the students absolutely shocked and horrified.
Initial investigations into the case revealed that the incident occurred after a prolonged verbal squabble between the attacker and the victim. The eye-witnesses defined it was horrible to watch the suspect first punching the poor girl and then stabbing and leaving her drowning into the ever-increasing pool of her own blood as he very calmly slashed her throat. In the same calm and cool manner, the assailant walked away from the scene as if getting out of a café.
