Its time for a gold medal game, i.e. Canada vs USA that meet for the second time at 12 noon PST (3 p.m. EST) in the Vancouver Winter Olympics today. Final of the Men’s Hockey event is the likely to be watched by millions of trillions of viewers globally when the same is aired on NBC.
One can well imagine how important the event has gone for crazy fans that people are willing to purchase the cheapest stadium entry tickets by paying $6000, a record price for a single ticket ever. The British Columbia Olympic saga that lasted for as many as 16 days, is going to end today and the hottest event before the closing ceremonies; is the Men’s Ice Hockey Final.
The Americans are all set to prove that their earlier successes against five teams they crushed during their journey to the Finals, were not ‘by chance’ or ‘miracles,’ especially 5-3 crusher against their opponents in the final; home team Canada. Whereas, the team that crushed Russians and Slovakians after being beaten by the Team USA; is also all set to avenge Team USA thus its not going to be a hockey match; two nations are going to enter the arena for a real battle.
Taking on the hosts against a home crowd, on the home ground is not going to be an easy task for the Americans especially when they’re fully aware of the fact that the wounded tigers might never provide any rift that might cause them humiliation yet again. One of the US players stated after their crushing win against Finland (6-1) that ‘Beating Canada (or any team) in single tournament twice, is never easy task.”
Only one team among them can lift the gold and none is going to let the other do so thus; the Final Battle for a Gold Medal is taking more importance with each passing time. Let’s wait and see that who becomes the champion tonight but whoever is; a True Champion it would be indeed.
