The attached YouTube video reveals a wonderful and stunning performance by Whitney Elizabeth Houston that comes from a family of high-flying soul singers such as Cissy Houston (Whitney’s mother), Dee Dee (one of her cousins) and Dionne Warwick.

On the gracious occasion of the American Music Awards 2009 on Sunday November 22, 2009 Whitney was certainly among the performers that stole the night. Watch her perform on one of her new songs “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” in the attached video that everybody is certainly going to admire.

Elegantly dressed in a white outfit with long hair falling on the shoulders, a former fashion model Whitney Elizabeth Houston just spellbound the audience with her heavenly voice. It was really nice to see the way she ended the performance with a significant touch; Whitney paused quite purposefully right before the final note to finish while the audiences listening intently.

The audiences were on their feet for a standing ovation the moment she finished the memorable performance that made the night warm indeed. All Whitney did say was “Thank you,” repeatedly. Like its wording, her song seemed to help the crowd regain some strength. Throughout the performance, her facial expressions remained very convincing and she certainly managed to invoke a lot of emotion through her vocals.

Simply saying, the night also belonged to Whitney that once used to be a New York night club singer.
