ABS CBN’s “Wowowee” game show host 48-year-old Willie Revillame full name Wilfredo Buendia Revillame has been suspended on his outburst over the live coverage of President Corazon Aquino’s funeral. Files a three-week leave form the show.

It is reported that Willie Revillame who is already known as a Controversial television host, has once again become the central attention for viewers. His comments and reaction have been taken serious notice of both by public and the Management. He wished that the inset news of President Corazon Aquino’s funeral procession may be aired after his show, not simultaneously. He took the plea that mine is an entertainment show whereas the funeral procession however is sad news. Therefore, could be aired later on or separately, he said.

Revillame has lost his jobs as game show-host, twice prior to this. He has been alleged of making unethical comments in “Wowowee” show by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) too.

As a reaction to the disrespect he showed towards the late President Aquino, nonstop protests have come into play and it is believed that he has actually submitted his leave for from the game show just because he did not realize earlier what he has done. As per ABS-CBN, his leave of absence took effect during the live airing of “Wowowee” last Saturday, the 8th August. While at Monday’s noontime show of “Wowowee” Revillame was a bit lost although he had the support from few personnel who said ‘Willie, we are with you’ through the placards they held.

There is no proper or formal announcement from the ABS-CBN yet to confirm his ‘suspension’ rather it’s said: Willie has gone on leave. He will be out for at least three weeks.” A female co-host has taken the charge in place of Willie.

It may not be out of place to say that Willie Revillame has however, provided a solid ground for ‘opposition’ as hundred of live calls for a rather punitive action against him are received at the ABS-CBN.
